Institution of Engineers (India) Jamshedpur to host All India Seminar

The Institution of Engineers (India) will host a two-day All India Seminar in Jamshedpur on November 27-28, 2023 at The Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute (SNTI), Jamshedpur.

The event is being organised by the Institution of Engineers (India) Jamshedpur Local Centre in association with Tata Steel. The theme of the seminar will be Innovation & Technology Inclusion Program in Manufacturing and Asset Management for Steel Industry.

This seminar has garnered interest form several industries and academia, government organisations like ISRO, Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Institutions like IITs and NITs and from major steel companies like SAIL, Arcelor Mittal, JSW, JSPL and Vizag Steel among others.

Some of the major OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) like ABB, PAMA, Artha Wear Tech, Parker & Grip Strapping Technologies Pvt Ltd etc & over 60 vendor partners will also be exhibiting their products and services related to the theme of the seminar in addition to the technical sessions which will be organised during the two-day event.

This event will help in cross learning between industries and help academia identify the opportunities and challenges to work upon in their research facilities.  Around 300 delegates are expected to attend the seminar and deliberate over the challenges, opportunities, and improvements.

A technical exhibition will also be organized during the seminar to highlight the advantage of manufacturing led growth in industries.

The Institution of Engineers (India) is the largest multidisciplinary professional body that encompasses 15 engineering disciplines and gives engineers a global platform to share ideas. The Jamshedpur sub-centre was the first sub-centre to be established in the country in 1952. Presently it has over 2100 corporate members and about 7500 senior technician and technician members (non-corporate members).
