Visiting Patna within a week of 20 parties’ conclave against BJP, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday declared the 2024 Lok Sabha elections would be between the Prime Minister for the last nine years, Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi who is probationer in politics for the last two decades.

Amit Shah while addressing a public meeting at Gandhi Maidan, Lakhisarai, parliamentary constituency of the National President of JDU, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh, said Rahul Gandhi was launched in politics 20 years ago but still he is on the launching pad. “Rahul Baba will remain on probation for ever,” Shah said and appealed to the people to elect Modi as their Prime Minister for the third term.

Referring to the opposition parties meeting here on June 23, Shah said, “It was a get together of the 20 leaders who are involved in Rs 20 lakh crore scams since 2014.” He also criticised the host of the June 23 conclave and said Paltu Babu (referring to Nitish Kumar) cannot be relied upon, he betrayed the BJP that made him chief minister in 2020.

Next meeting of the opposition leaders is scheduled on July 12 at Bangalore. Venue has been shifted from Shimla.

Amit Shah warned RJD president, Lalu Prasad to be cautious of Nitish Kumar who would betray him also and will never allow his son, Tejashwi to become Chief Minister. He is befooling Lalu too, Shah said and called Nitish “power hungry”.

Home Minister alleged Bihar has turned into a jungle raj once again as law and order has collapsed, crime graphs are rising, loot and robberies have become common.

Reacting to the opposition leaders meeting, Shah said these leaders were opposed to repealing Article 370 and had claimed there would be bloodshed in Kashmir, but since August 2019, there has not been an incident of stone pelting in the Valley.

He presented a list of centrally sponsored development and welfare measures in Bihar since 2014. Later, he visited the Ashok Dham temple and offered prayers at Shiv temple.
