ITBP jawan injured in Chhattisgarh blast

Jagdalpur, February 15

A jawan of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was injured in a landmine blast triggered by the Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district on Wednesday.

The condition of the jawan, identified as Manoj Yadav, is reported to be stable. He is reported to be out of danger.

According to sources, a troop of ITBP and state police today morning went for an area domination and road-opening operation. Near Dhanora, Maoists ambushed the party by detonating a landmine.

There was no report of exchange of fire between the security personnel and the Maoist cadre. The injured jawan was evacuated from the spot. The other jawans in the party were safe from the impact of the blast.
