Jharkhand eyes Army aid to combat Corona

Jharkhand government is exploring the possibility of seeking support of Indian Army in combating pandemic in the state.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today held a high-level meeting with the senior officials of Indian Army. A detailed discussion was held on how the Army could assist the Jharkhand authorities in fighting COVID-19 in the state.

Soren said in a tweet that the Jharkhand government was exploring all possibilities to control the pandemic in the state and bestow best medical care to the people infected by the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, the Corona catastrophe claimed five members of the same family in just two days.  An entire family in Kasheetand of Barwaadda police station area of Govindpur block in Dhanbad was infected by COVID-19. While four members died yesterday, one passed away today. Fearing a surge in the village, the local administration was planning to seal with locality.

In Jharkhand, 4969 corona positive cases were reported today. At the same time, 45 corona patients died in the last 24 hours.
