Jindal arm to set up square rectangular pipes manufacturing unit in Chhattisgarh

Nalwa Special Steel Limited (NSSL), a blue-chip unit of the O P Jindal Group, today signed an agreement with the Chhattisgarh government to set up a plant for manufacturing square and rectangular pipes in Tehsil Tamnar district Raigarh.

The project will entail an investment of about Rs 450 crore. A production target of 6,00,000 ton per annum has been set. The MoU signed with the Government of Chhattisgarh for setting up new plants was signed by Bhuvanesh Yadav, Secretary, Commerce and Industry, and Pradeep Tandon, on behalf of the company.

Tandon said the establishment and operation of the plant would provide new employment opportunities to the youth of the region and the industry would become a partner in the development of the region.

Nalwa Special Steel is a subsidiary of Jindal Group and is in full-fledged production at Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh. It is an Integrated Steel Plant with the present capacity of 0.36 million ton finished steel
