The Ministry of Coal, Government of India has honored Jindal Power Limited for exceptional contribution and excellence in commercial coal mining.

Jindal Power Limited, which produces about 90 per cent of the country’s commercial coal production, has emerged as the highest revenue contributor in the country. The award was presented by the Union Minister of Coal and Mines, Kishan Reddy in Delhi.

JPL has not only worked tirelessly to increase coal production from the allotted mines to meet the demand but has also developed infrastructure in the region by starting these projects, along with providing employment opportunities to the local population.

It is the result of the tireless efforts of JPL that it has been able to achieve this position today. JPL has always been dedicated to the social development and livelihood of the region and is also developing the local people by conducting several CSRs.

“We take pride in noting that our group currently produ total commercial coal in the country, and has also co for the State of Chhattisgarh (also highest in India) in underlines our unwavering commitment to the state’s socio-economic progress,” the company said in a letter to Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary.

JPL has not only made sincere efforts to increase coal mines to meet demands, but the initiation of these projects has led to infrastructure development in the region and created employment opportunities for the local population. Moreover, JPL is dedicated to the social development and livelihood of those affected, and has launched several well-received by stakeholders.
