Darbhanga, April 18
The Mashaal Gaurav Yatra reached Darbhanga in Bihar under the Khelo India Youth Games 2025 programme.
Additional Collector Rakesh Kumar and District Sports Officer Parimal jointly gave the torch to the Darbhanga District Magistrate Rajiv Roshan and took permission for promotion in the district. Along with the permission, the team from Patna was welcomed by the District Administration Darbhanga.
The District Collector said that the Central Government and the State Government are promoting sports and players, this awareness chariot is being rolled out to bring the players forward in the field of sports.
Thereafter, a demonstration on the detailed background of the game was presented from the Mashaal Gaurav Yatra Rath among all the players in the Polo Ground. This Yatra has been taken out to make people aware about the event.
For the first time, Khelo India Youth Games 2025 is being organized in Bihar. A public awareness campaign is being spread to inspire the youth and bring them into the mainstream in the field of sports. In the Nehru Stadium Polo Ground, more than 500 players of various sports and officials of the sports association echoed the slogan ‘Khel ke Rang Bihar Ke Sang’ in one voice and gave a grand welcome to them. The children also took an oath to include sports in their lives.
On the occasion, the District Sports Officer said that the Khelo India Mahaal Gaurav Yatra Prachar Rath will visit various places in the Nagar Parishad area and spread the message of public awareness. It will leave for Saharsa tomorrow morning.
Darbhanga Sports Officer Parimal said that Khelo India Youth Games had been hosted for the first time in Bihar, which is a matter of pride for the state. The government is making every effort to make this event a success. In this context, the Yatra is being organized. Khelo India will go to all the districts of Bihar with the actual torch symbol, equipped with LED screens and audio-video publicity resources for awareness. The journey will continue from April 15 to May 2 and will return to Patna by the evening of May 2.
On May 4, the Khelo India Youth Games 2025 will be inaugurated at the Patliputra Sports Council by lighting the torch by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
To make today’s Mashaal Gaurav Yatra successful, Secretary of District Kabaddi Association Akalakur Rahman, Joint Secretary of Darbhanga District Kabaddi Association, Amit Kumar Chaudhary, District Kho-Kho Association Darbhanga Secretary Shri Ramashankar Chaudhary, Volleyball Association Secretary Shri Brijesh Kumar Singh, Wushu Association Secretary Sanjeev Kumar, Darbhanga District Athletic Association Secretary Yashpal Kumar, and District Sports Office Darbhanga employees Sanjeev Kumar, Baldev Kumar, Rakesh Kumar Singh, and senior players Satyam Kumar, Keshav Kumar, Sitara Hasan, Shoaib Khan, etc. participated.
