The 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IPS) Officer, Dr Lal Umed Singh will be the new Superintendent of Police at Raipur.
Singh has earlier worked in various capacities including Additional Superintendent of Police in the state capital. He was presently posted as Superintendent of Police, Chief Minister Security.
He succeeds Santosh Kumar Singh, who has been transferred to police headquarters as Assistant Inspector General of Police. He also belongs to 2011-batch.
The Chhattisgarh government transferred four Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in a minor reshuffle executed late Wednesday evening. The other affected officers include 2015-batch IPS officer Suraj Singh Parihar, the Superintendent of Police at Koriya district.
He has been shifted to 14 Battalion of Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) at Balod. Ravi Kurre, IPS officer, would replace him as Koriya Superintendent of Police.
