In lines with the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday assured that domestic LPG supply in the state remains smooth, and necessary arrangements are being ensured so that consumers do not face inconvenience.
Chhattisgarh Food Secretary Ms. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale said that a balanced and priority-based distribution system had been implemented in the state for institutions and establishments with commercial LPG connections.
As per the guidelines of the Government of India and oil companies, commercial consumers will receive LPG supply within a limit of up to 20 per cent based on their consumption in previous months.
Essential services have been given priority in commercial LPG distribution. Educational institutions, hospitals, military and paramilitary camps, jails, hostels, social welfare institutions, and railway and airport canteens will receive 100 per cent supply. Government offices, public sector undertakings, and their guest houses and canteens will receive 50 per cent supply, while animal feed production units, seed production units, restaurants, and hotels will receive 20 per cent supply.
Ms. Kangale said oil companies will conduct daily reviews of commercial LPG distribution and share reports with the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department to ensure transparency and efficiency. The state government remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted LPG supply to citizens while maintaining balanced availability across all sectors.
