Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Friday distributed tendupatta bonus worth Rs 47.71 crore to 1 lakh 69 thousand 422 collector families of Dindori, Mandla, Jabalpur, Katni and Anuppur.

Under the Aahar Anudan Yojana, an amount of Rs 27 crore 60 lakh was transferred through a single click to more than 1 lakh 84 thousand women of Baiga, Bharia and Sahariya tribal category.

The Chief Minister dedicated and performed bhoomi-pujan of development works worth Rs 182 crore in Dindori district. Chouhan said along with Charan Paduka (footwear), drinking water bottles, sarees and Rs 200 had been given for umbrellas under Charan Paduka Yojana. “I run a family, not a government, it is my duty to take care of the family. To ensure that thorns do not prick the feet of my brothers and sisters, shoes and slippers are being given to them,” Chouhan said.

He said no stone would be left unturned to change the lives of the people. The Chief Minister assured that no dam would be built without public consent while no one would be deprived of land.

Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, former Minister Omprakash Dhurve and other public representatives were present in the programme. The Chief Minister had a Jandarshan before the Jansabha. A large number of people participated in the Jandarshan and greeted him.

Chouhan said giving money to the sisters once a year would not work well and hence, they decided to put money every month in the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. “I am the Ladla Bhai of 1 crore 32 lakh sisters. Now the amount has been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,250, in future it will be further hiked to Rs 3,000. I will not let my sisters worry about money for their daily requirement. Receiving money has increased the respect of the sisters in their family. I have not given you money but your rights and respect,” Chouhan said.

Those left out in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be given money to build houses under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana, Chouhan said.
