Madhya Pradesh cracks down against Mafia

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the campaign against mafia in the state was going on incessantly.

Money is being returned to the affected people by attaching the assets of the chit fund companies. Along with this, teams have been sent out of the state to recover the missing children. Chouhan was addressing the ministers before the cabinet meeting.

The Chief Minister informed that 2000 hectares of land worth over Rs 10,000 crore had been freed from 1271 land mafias in the state.

An amount of Rs 800 crore of 50 thousand people was recovered from chit fund companies.

Chouhan said that six factories manufacturing adulterated goods have been demolished under drive against adulteration. Similarly, ration was distributed to the public after seizing the property of the officer involved in black marketing of ration. The action in Indore had an effective impact. Action has been taken against 331 people involved in black marketing of ration.

Chouhan informed the ministers that Operation Muskan is being conducted in the state to find the missing children, under which 9500 children have been recovered so far, of which 80 percent are girls.

The Chief Minister said that according to the existing arrangements in the Union Budget, plans should be chalked out with the officials of the departments in the state’s interest and focusing on development and attempts should be made to get maximum allocation from the Central Government.
