Bhopal, March 30
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Smt. Sadhna Singh Chouhan organised Kanya Puja and Kanya Bhoj at the Chief Minister (CM) House with full religious fervour on the occasion of Ram Navami.
Chief Minister Chouhan along with wife washed the feet of girls and performed Kanya Puja—an auspicious ritual to worship the girls. The couple later distributed prasad to girls.
Chouhan also participated in the bhajans organised in the temple located at his residence. The presentation of Bhaye Prakat Kripala… and Shri Ramchandra Kripalu Bhajman… was accompanied with Aarti.
Many bhajans echoed in praise of Lord Shri Ram at the CMs residence. Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, sons Kartikeya Singh Chouhan and Kunal Singh Chouhan along with officers and employees of the residence office and devotees were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan greeted the people of the state on Ram Navami. The great festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated with full devotion and pomp in the state. Programmes are being organised enthusiastically in all the temples of the state including Chitrakoot, Orchha.
