Eyeing to set a record in administering precautionary (booster) dose, Madhya Pradesh today launched the 75-day COVID Vaccine Amrit Mahotsav.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the people of the state had set a record in the country in administering the first and second doses to prevent Corona infection. Now, by participating actively in this campaign of vaccination dose, the people of the state will achieve cent percent target within the time limit.
About 5 crore people in the state are eligible for the precaution dose. “We will be successful in this public campaign which will last for 75 days till the month of September with the cooperation of social organisations, voluntary organisations, Anganwadis and ASHA workers and all the people of the state,” Singh said.
The Chief Minister was addressing a state-level programme at the Protima Malik Mahila Police Hospital in Bhopal on the occasion of the launch of the COVID Vaccine Amrit Mahotsav, which is conducted to strengthen the protective shield against the disease of COVID-19.
Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary, Additional Chief Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Mohammad Suleman, Secretary and Commissioner Public Health and Family Welfare Dr. Sudam Khade, Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena were present on the occasion.
Chouhan appealed to all the newly elected public representatives to ensure that no eligible person remains in their area without booster dose. The Chief Minister visited the Vaccination Centre at Protima Malik Mahila Police Hospital and interacted with the people who came to get vaccinated.
On the initiative of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the COVID Vaccine Amrit Mahotsav has been launched for administering free vaccination doses, he said adding that the world is amazed by the way the India has combated Corona infection under the leadership Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
