Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that according to the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh was ahead in promoting Millets “Shree Anna”.
The use of wheat and millets of Madhya Pradesh, which are rich in iron and vitamins, is being encouraged. In this sequence, an initiative has been taken to include millets in the food prepared for the patients in AIIMS Bhopal.
Chouhan said that Tejas or Kathia wheat of Madhya Pradesh goes to many states. It is a power enhancer; it is also used in making pasta. There is a special demand for it in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and West Bengal. Recently, millets have been served to the participants in the G-20 Agriculture Group meeting in Indore. Research has concluded that millets have special importance in controlling problems like diabetes, obesity, blood pressure etc.
Arrival of Cheetahs in Palpur Kuno
The Chief Minister informed that 12 Cheetahs will be released in Palpur Kuno National Park on February 18. The previously released cheetahs are healthy. The Prime Minister took the initiative to restore Cheetahs which were extinct decades ago from India. Through this initiative, Madhya Pradesh has got the distinction of becoming the Cheetah State of the country. Due to this, the economy of the National Park area of Madhya Pradesh is changing. Infrastructural development is taking place in this area. Facilities are being boosted for the tourists. Cheetah-mitras have also been formed in Sheopur district, who have taken a pledge to protect Cheetahs. The effort is to increase employment opportunities in the area. May the families of Cheetahs continue to grow and humans also get the benefit of these activities.
More than 20 thousand works dedicated in Vikas Yatras
Chouhan said that public welfare yagna is being done through Vikas Yatras. Vikas Yatras have been successful. So far, 20 thousand 606 development works have been dedicated in the state through Vikas Yatras. Similarly, 15 thousand 457 bhoomi pujans have also been done. In Madhya Pradesh, developmental activities are taking place in each district during the Vikas Yatras which started from February 5. Many innovations are also happening. One such example is the resolution to conduct smart classes in about 1700 primary and secondary schools under the “My School-Smart School” campaign in Dewas district. Active participation of public representatives and citizens is being seen in Vikas Yatras.
