Chief Minister purchased the idol of Laxmi Ji from New Market

The roadside vendors in the New Market area of Madhya Pradesh capital today had an unexpected customer as state’s Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan turned up for Diwali shopping.
Chouhan reached the New Market along with wife Smt. Sadhna Singh to purchase the idol of Lakshmi Ji for Diwali Puja. He bought the idol of Lakshmi Ji from the shop of Shri Rajkumar Prajapati located near Hanuman temple.
The Chief Minister extended Deepawali greetings to the roadside vendors selling Kheel-Batasha besides earthen lamps and flower garlands. The vendors, many had come from remote areas for Diwali business, had set up stalls around Hanuman temple. The festive season is also source of their annual income.
In his Diwali message, Chouhan said the festival of Deepawali may bring happiness, prosperity, riddhi-siddhi in the lives of the people of the state. Madhya Pradesh should create a new history in the fields of progress, development and public welfare, this is the wish. “We all have to work with the spirit of Team Madhya Pradesh,” he said while addressing all the ministers, state and district level officers virtually from the residence office on the occasion of Deep Parv.
While extending best wishes on Diwali, Chouhan inspired team Madhya Pradesh to resolve for the development of the state and for better implementation of schemes and to make the state a leader in various fields. He said that by fulfilling the resolutions of Deepawali, the Team Madhya Pradesh will realise the concept of Ram Rajya in the state.
