Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) successfully organized Consumers Meet 2025 at the company headquarters in Sambalpur, bringing together key consumers from coal and power sector.
Uday A. Kaole, Chairman cum Managing Director, MCL presided the meet along with P. K. Patel, Chief Vigilance Officer, MCL; J K Borah, Director (Technical/ Operations); A K Behura, Director (Finance), and S K Jha, Director (Tech,/Project & Planning). Area General Managers, HoD from HQs and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
Kaole, in his keynote address, emphasised on MCL’s strategic focus on assured coal supply, technological advancements in quality control, and a customer-first approach aligned with a broader vision to ensuring energy security in the nation. Kaole highlighted company’s progress in coal production, supply chain efficiency, and its initiatives in quality enhancement, transparency, and sustainable mining practices.
Ms. Subhashree Choudhary, Secretary General, Coal Consumers Association of India (CCAI), shared valuable insights on evolving industry expectations and the need for enhanced consumer-centric practices.
Leading power and non-power sector consumers actively participated in the event, with distinguished representation from industry leaders such as Adani Power Ltd, JPL Tamnar, DB Power Ltd, APGENCO, NTPC Ltd, and GMR Kamalanga etc.
The event also provided an open forum for consumers to share feedback, which was constructively addressed by MCL management. The Consumers Meet 2025 is a testament of MCL’s dedication to operational excellence, sustainable growth, and building lasting trust with its valued consumers across regulated and non-regulated sectors.
