Former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi predicts exodus from JDU to BJP

RJD president Lalu Prasad on Monday alleged after Maharashtra, Bihar was the target of BJP.
Earlier, the national President of JDU, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh also spoke on the line.
Releasing a 700 pages biography of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at Gyan Bhawan here, Lalu said BJP has resorted to undemocratic practices. NCP led by the tallest leader of the nation, Sharad Pawar, who was here last week in his move to unite opposition parties against BJP, was split by Narendra Modi and now Bihar is on their hit list.
Lalu said Bihar would reject BJP in the elections next year. Reacting to the charge by Prime Minister that Lalu and family was corrupt, RJD chief commented, “Narendra Modi is biggest corrupt, helping Adanis.”
He alleged Narendra Modi government was planning to abolish reservations for backward castes.
Calling Nitish as his younger brother, Lalu assured Bihar CM” none of your legislators would be allowed to be purchased by the BJP.”
He regretted though he and Nitish led the movement for implementation of recommendations of Mandal Commision, V PSingh did not induct them in his cabinet.
Developments in Maharashtra politics has its immediate fall out in Bihar with the national president of JDU, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh apprehending BJP may try to split the ruling party in the state.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, agreed with fears of Lallan and said there would be an exodus in JDU and its legislators would migrate to BJP.
President of LJP( RV) Chirag Paswan, Rashtriya Lok Jantantrik Dal President Upendra Kushwaha, BJP State President, Samrat Chaudhury too claimed JDU was on the verge of split and forecast many MPs and MLAs would join BJP.
Lallan Singh in a statement today said BJP does not believe in the strength of the people, it believes in breaking parties. They used CBI and ED earlier to cause split in the ruling Grand Alliance in Bihar and now they may try to destabilise JD U led government.
Last month, HAM(S) led by the former Chief Minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi had quit the alliance and joined NDA. Earlier, two other partners, Vikashshill Insaan Party and RLSP had also deserted JDU led alliance.
Chirag Paswan, son of late Ram Vilas Paswan, who is all set to join the union cabinet soon, claimed Nitish Kumar has also suspected mass resignation from his party and fearing exodus has started contacting JDU MPs and legislators at his residence in one to one meeting.
He had avoided meeting his cabinet colleagues too outside the Cabinet meetings, but now alarmed over the reports of resentments among his leaders, Chief Minister is calling them individually for the last two days. Nitish in his talks with the party leaders have appealed them to frustrate the “evil designs” of the BJP.JDU has 44 MLAs and 17 MPs .RJD with 78 MLAs is the dominant party in Grand Alliance.
Sushil Kumar who worked as deputy chief minister under Nitish Kumar for the last 17 years in a statement today claimed a virtual split in JDU is taking place. Legislators and MPs are agitated against the move of chief minister to hand over chair to Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. Nitish does not listen to his leaders, never allowed his own MPs and MLAs even one minute audience, is now meeting them personally and talking to them for 30 minutes. Nitish has got panicky following Ajit Pawar episode. He also feels, stampede may take place in JDU.
