Spilling out its association with the farmers’ strike against the agriculture laws, Communist Party of India (Maoist) had signaled that its support would continue and vowed to defeat the Hindutva forces in ensuing polls.
“No force can stop us to support and lead them (farmers),” Central Committee Spokesperson of CPI (Maoist) Abhay said in a statement issued to the press. Whatever name the governments give to it such as urban Naxalites, Turban Naxalites and so on, however many laws it amends and adopts, they cannot stop the people’s struggle, he added.
The spokesperson of the outlawed organization said that the central and the state governments were shuddering and stated that the Maoists are backing each and every people’s problem. “Our party undoubtedly supports all the struggles of the oppressed people of the country. It is our responsibility as revolutionaries to lead them,” the spokesperson added.
The rebel group had also hinted intensifying the stir with aggressive mode. The strategy is to single out elected representatives supporting the laws. Maoists had threatened to send away local Sarpanch to Member of Parliament (MP) from their home towns who support the new agri laws and boycott all services to their families.
The Left-Wing Extremists had also hinted at taking on the Right-Wing groups in the political front. Elections are scheduled in five states including Uttar Pradesh the coming year. “Here too, the call must be to defeat the Hindutva forces,” the statement said.
