The Left-wing extremists on Wednesday afternoon killed a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.

The BJP leader was identified as Kaka Arjun. The incident took place near Lanka Para in Ilmidih area f Bijapur.

According to reports, the rebels grilled the BJP leader as he came out of his house.

The senior police officials could not be contacted on the issue. Sources said the local police had reached the spot and investigating the matter.
