Suspected activists of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist) killed a Pastor in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.
Ahead of Holi, the festival of colours, Maoists committed the heinous crime. According to police sources, armed rebels today evening struck at the residence of Pastor Yalam Shankar in Angampalliguda village under Madder police station limits.
The Maoists dragged the Pastor out from his house and slit his throat with sharp edge weapon. Sources said the Pastor associated with the local church died on the spot itself.
The rebels fled after committing the crime. Further details were awaited.
