The extremists of outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist) killed a villager in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Sudru Karam, a resident of Timnar under Mirtur police station area. His brother is working with the Chhattisgarh police and can be the possible reason for the crime.
According to police sources, Maoists struck at his house, picked him up took him into the adjoining forest. The rebels brutally killed him by using sharp weapon before leaving the body at the outskirts of the village.
This was the third incident of Maoists killing civilians in the district in last one week. The first murder was committed in Poosanar under Gangalore police station while the second incident took place in Jagur under Jangla police station limits.
