Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), organized a cricket tournament to promote camaraderie, strengthen interpersonal communication and collaboration among employees across the company.
The tournament showcased spirited performances, disciplined play and collective effort from all the teams, reflecting the values of coordination and healthy competition among employees.
Uday A Kaole, CMD along with Keshav Rao, Director (HR); P K Patel, CVO; A K Behura, Director (Finance) and S K Jha, Director (DT/Op) congratulated all team members for their exceptional display of sporting spirit.
The final match was a thrilling contest between CMD’s Kingsmen and CVO’s Vigilant Royals in a nail-biting, last-over finish, with Kingsmen lifting the championship title. Anil Ray from team Kingsmen stood as Player of the Match and Shib Shankar Jena from team Vigilant Royals was awarded as the Player of the Tournament.
The week-long Inter-Directorate Cricket tournament “MCL Premier League 2025” featured 6 teams of employees representing different Directorates at MCL Headquarters. The event provided a common platform for employees to interact, communicate and build rapport outside their routine professional environment. By bringing together participants from diverse functional backgrounds, the league played a significant role in enhancing mutual understanding, teamwork, and a sense of belonging within the organisation.
