MCL Conducts Major Swachhata Drive in Sambalpur as Part of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Campaign

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) took a significant step toward environmental cleanliness today by organizing a large-scale cleanliness drive at the PHD ground, Ainthapali, Sambalpur. This initiative is a part of the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” campaign, promoting hygiene and cleanliness across the country.

The event was led by MCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Shri Uday Anant Kaole, along with senior leadership including Shri Keshav Rao, Director (Personnel), and Shri AK Behura, Director (Finance). Together, they highlighted the company’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental conservation.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Kaole said, “Cleanliness is not just the responsibility of one entity but a collective effort. MCL is dedicated to fostering a cleaner and greener environment not only in Sambalpur but across all its operational districts.”

MCL has been actively engaging in cleanliness initiatives across Angul, Jharsuguda, and Sundergarh districts of Odisha. With enthusiastic participation from MCL employees, community volunteers, and local authorities, the drive aimed to raise awareness and encourage active involvement in promoting sanitation and environmental consciousness.

The event marks another step in MCL’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the national cleanliness mission, strengthening its ties with the community and advocating for a sustainable future.
