MCL to strengthen civic infrastructure in Jharsuguda district with Rs 20.92 crore

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) under its ‘Comprehensive Development Campaign’ for holistic development of peripheral localities, signed an MoU with District Administration, Jharsuguda to provide for various developmental works in villages under Brajrajnagar, Belpahar and Lakhanpur blocks.

MCL, under it’s CSR initiative will fund Rs 20.92 crore to district administration, Jharsuguda for enhancing civic infrastructure and community facilities such as installation of solar high mast and streetlights, construction of SHG workshop sheds, community halls, Mission Shakti Gruha, vending zones, bus stops, and provision of drinking water facilities. Additionally, it also covers procurement of an ambulance, funeral vehicle, fogging machine, water tankers, and development of ponds and playgrounds across the three blocks.

The MoU was inked between MCL and District Administration, Jharsuguda with General Manager (CSR), MCL and Suryanshu Root, CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, Jharsuguda as representatives.

Through this CSR initiative, MCL seeks to strengthen civic amenities and promote community well-being, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth in Odisha.
