The 3rd day’s programme of the mega cultural event Vedvyas Sangeet Nrutyotsav-2023 was a huge success and held the music lovers spellbound.
Aswini Kumar Patra, Minister for Odia Language, Literature, Culture and Tourism graced the function as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the 3rd evening of the festival. B D Shivhare, Senior Trainer, Art of Living and eminent Chartered Accountant was the guest of honor.
It is noteworthy that reputed artistes drawn from India and abroad are presenting their performance in the 5-day long extravaganza of dance and music.
The Minister complimented the efforts made by Bhanja Kala Kendra in organizing the festival. He also commended the role of the institution to propagate classical dance and music.
The programme commenced with mellifluous Odishi Brunda Gayan by the artistes from Bhanja Kala Kendra led by Guru Binapani Rath. Internationally acclaimed Hindustani Classical Vocal exponent with numerous accolades, Ustad Waseem Ahmed Khan enthralled the audience with his mesmerizing magical voice.
The audience in the evening were mesmerised with some beautiful Odissi Vocal by Eminent Odishi Sangeet Exponent Matru Prasad Das. The winners of painting competitions held to mark Gandhi Jayanti were also given away prizes in the evening.
Notably, the programme is being organised with the support of Bhanja Cultural Trust under the guidance of Tarun Mishra, President, Bhanja Cultural Trust and ED (P&A), RSP. Subha Shankar Raychoudhury, President, Bhanja Kala Kendra welcomed the gathering while Radha Krushna Mohapatra, General Secretary, Bhanja Kala Kendra coordinated the inaugural ceremony.
Aseem Kumar Behera, Advisor, Bhanja Kala Kendra proposed a formal vote of thanks. Sasanka Pattnaik, Assistant Manager (PR) anchored the show.
