The day Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan asserted that US had to finally recognise Taliban, militants struck in the North Waziristan and killed five security personnel.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday that four Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers and a Levies sub-inspector were killed after terrorists attacked a security forces’ vehicle in Spinwam area of North Waziristan.
In a statement, the military’s media affairs wing said that a clearance operation was in progress to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
On Thursday, a Pakistan Army captain was killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, against Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists.
In a statement, the ISPR said that security forces conducted an operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area. During the exchange of fire, the captain was killed.
Pakistan is openly backing the Taliban regime and has claimed that it played the crucial role in the conquest. The strategy seems to have boomeranged as the Taliban-backed militants have now escalated attacks on the Pakistani security personnel.
Despite its people are feeling the heat, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is still fielding for Taliban. In an interview to a channel today, he claimed that sooner or later, the United States has to recognise Taliban government in Afghanistan.
