Chhattisgarh Minister for Agriculture Ramvichar Netam had a narrow escape in a road mishap Friday evening.
A recklessly driven pickup van collided head on with the official vehicle in which the Minister was travelling. The van dashed into the convoy as the Minister’s carcade comprised a pilot and follow vehicles.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portion of the vehicle was mangled. Netam, who was returning from Kawardha after an official programme, received injuries on his hands and head.
His assistant and a police official were also injured in the mishap that took place around 7 pm near Jevra under Simga police station. The Minister along with other injured were rushed to the primary health centre in Simga from where they were referred to Raipur after preliminary medical care.
The doctors attending on Minister at a private hospital in the state capital said Netam’s condition was stable and out of danger. He is normal and talking to everyone.
