NDTV Group has profitable Q3; Digital business clocks its highest ever revenue for the quarter

The NDTV Group is declaring its 2nd most profitable year-to-date (YTD) results in over a decade. For Quarter three (Q3) as well, the NDTV Group remains profitable.

NDTV’s standalone YTD profit is Rs 25.3 crore compared to Rs 41.4 crore last year. The group’s digital arm, NDTV Convergence, has delivered its best-ever revenue for Q3 with a profit of Rs 13.3 crore. The YTD revenues are up by 22 per cent over last year.

The Profit After Tax (PAT) of the NDTV Limited for the Q3 was pegged at Rs 4.6 crore compared to Rs 17.3 crore reported during the same period last year. The PAT of NDTV Group stood at Rs 12.9 crore as against Rs 27.6 crore reported during the corresponding period of the previous year.

In a regulatory filing, the company said NDTV had clocked a profit of Rs 4.6 crores in Q3 on standalone basis; for the Group, the profit is Rs 12.9 crore – lower in comparison to the same quarter last year, primarily due to reduction in consumption of advertisement inventory across news genre.

This is the 13th consecutive profitable quarter for the NDTV Group.
