The newly appointed Chairman-cum-Managing Director of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Harish Duhan on Tuesday called on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
The state government officials said it was a courtesy visit by the newly appointed CMD Coal India subsidiary that has headquarters at Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The meeting took place at the residence office of the Chief Minister.
Sai congratulated Duhan for the new responsibility. The SECL CMD informed the Chief Minister about the development work being done by SECL in the mining affected areas of the state under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Sai appreciated the efforts and said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to provide all possible support for the industrial and social development of the state.
Duhan on March 26, 2025 took over as the CMD of SECL that has mining operations across the states of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
