The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today filed chargesheet in the Jehanabad arms recovery case in the NIA Special Court, Patna.
The case pertains to the recovery and seizure of arms, ammunitions and other incriminating materials from the accused persons. The case was originally registered as FIR no. 246/2021 dated 31.03.2021 of PS Karona OP, Distt- Jehanabad, Bihar and the NIA had re-registered the case as RC-No-11/2021/NIA/DLI, dated 17.06.2021. Another case FIR no. 260/21 dated 31.03.2021 registered at Danapur PS, was found to be connected to the instant NIA Case and was accordingly taken up for investigation.
The NIA had lodged offences under 121A & 120B of IPC, sections 13, 18,19,20,23,38 and 39 of UA (P) Act 1967, sections 4,5 & 6 of Explosive Substances Act, sections 25 (1A), 25 (1AA), 25(1B) (a), 26 & 35 of Arms Act and section 17 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act against five accused persons. They included Parshuram Singh alias Nandlal s/o Late Alakhdev Singh r/o Gola road, Gazadarchak, Danapur , Patna(Bihar); Sanjay Singh s/o Late Faudar Singh r/o vill- Bohiya, PS- Alipur, Distt.- Gaya, Bihar; (iii) Prem Raj @Gautam kumar s/o Parshuram Singh r/o Gola road, Gazadarchak, Danapur , Patna,Bihar; (iv)Rakesh kumar s/o Late Alakhdev Singh r/o Gola road, Gazadarchak, Danapur , Patna,Bihar and (v) Mohd. Badruddin s/o Late Kamruddin r/o Bari Machuatoli, Gola road Gazdarchak, PS- Danapur, Patna,Bihar.
Investigation has established that the accused Parshu Ram Singh@Nandlal, active member of the CPI (Maoist) was associated with the top Naxal commander Arvindji @Dev kumar (now deceased). He was responsible for the fabrication of Improvised hand grenades and their transportation along with other arms and ammunition to Jharkhand based Maoist Commanders for furtherance of terrorist activities. Parshu Ram Singh used his garage at Danapur for the aforesaid purpose. Mohd. Badruddin was the fabricator to the grenades and the entire module was supported by the other accused persons.
Further investigation in the case is continued.
