Patna, June 13
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today filed its second supplementary chargesheet against three accused in the case relating to the abduction and brutal murder of Naresh Singh Bhokta by the CPI (Maoist), a banned organization.
The chargesheet has been filed in NIA Special Court, Patna under various sections of the IPC and UA(P) Act 1967 against Vinay Yadav alias Kamal alias Murad alias Guru ji alias Naval Ji alias Naval Bhuiyan , Arjun Bhuiyan and Jilebiya Yadav alias Vinay Yadav, all residents of Bihar.
The three are reported to be the member of the banned CPI (Maoist). According to the agency, they attended the meeting of zonal commanders and top Maoist leaders convened by another accused in the case Pramod Mishra in the forests of Anjanwa.
In the meeting, the rebels decided to kill police informers including Naresh Singh Bhokta. Bhokta was abducted and killed on the night of November 2, 2018, after being labelled as a police informer by the top leadership and Naxal cadres of CPI (Maoist) at a so-called ‘Jan Adalat’ (public hearing) called by the banned terrorist outfit.
The second chargesheet filed by the federal agency comes just days after the NIA conducted widespread searches in Jharkhand and Bihar in connection with the case (RC-25/2022/NIA-DLI).
A total of nine people have so far been arrested in the case, registered originally by Bihar Police on November 3, 2018, and taken over by NIA on June 24 last year.
NIA had filed a supplementary chargesheet earlier, on February 23 against one accused.
