Early Thursday morning, mountaineer and resident of Bilaspur Nisha Yadav had an unexpected caller who literally changed her life.
Before she could identify the caller, a reassuring voice made her guess that it was not a usual call. “You need to climb Mount Kilimanjaro; don’t worry about the expenses,” the caller put it succinctly. Nisha quizzed in curiosity, “Who is this?” The response came, “This is Vishnu Deo Sai speaking.”
Still in disbelief, Nisha questioned, “Are you really the Chief Minister?” Her astonishment grew when the Chief Minister elaborated, assuring her, “Focus on your goal. It is our responsibility to fulfill the dreams of every daughter of Chhattisgarh. The state government stands with you.”
Moved by the Chief Minister’s warm words of encouragement, Nisha’s joy knew no bounds. She was amazed that without any formal request or appeal, the Chief Minister had taken the initiative to support her dream.
In a detailed conversation with the Chief Minister, Nisha shared her mountaineering journey, including the challenges she faced during her expedition to Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe. She explained how these ventures are thrilling and how hoisting the tricolor atop mountain peaks fills her with immense pride.
Nisha informed that her next target is Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, and her ultimate dream is to scale Mount Everest and unfurl the national flag there.
With a voice filled with emotion, Nisha confided, “I haven’t been able to sleep for days. My father is an auto driver, and fulfilling this dream seemed impossible for him. I was deeply worried about how to make it happen. But today, you have erased all my worries. Thank you so much, Chief Minister Sir.”
Hearing Nisha’s confident and determined words, the Chief Minister remarked, “Chhattisgarh is proud of its daughters. We aspire to see our daughters hoist the tricolor on Mount Everest as well. Financial challenges cannot deter one’s spirit.” Extending his best wishes, he added, “Your confidence and passion will undoubtedly help you achieve your goal.”
