The regional round of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2025 was held at Ranchi on Saturday with NIT
Jamshedpur Team emerging victorious.
Hosted by NTPC Mining Limited, the event saw an enthusiastic participation of approximately 80 teams from premier engineering and management institutes of Jharkhand.
The competition was intense, with participants showcasing exceptional knowledge in various fields, ranging from technology to energy and current affairs. At the end of the day, the team from NIT Jamshedpur, comprising Shamyak and Anurag, clinched the top spot in the regional round. Aniket and Chirag from XLRI Jamshedpur secured second place, while Rohan and Harsh from IIT ISM Dhanbad finished third.
The winners were awarded a prize money of Rs 30,000 for their stellar performance, while the second and third-place teams received Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively. In addition, the fourth to sixth placed teams were awarded consolation prizes of Rs 4,000 each.
Speaking at the event, Animesh Jain, CEO of NTPC Mining Limited (NML) and RED (Coal Mining) , highlighted the significance of the quiz in promoting intellectual growth and innovation. He said, “Winning and losing are part of the game. By conducting Electron Quiz our goal is to continue fueling the growth of the Nation through energy and intellectual pursuits.” He encouraged all participants to keep striving for excellence, both in academics and beyond.
With this victory, the top two teams—NIT Jamshedpur and XLRI Jamshedpur—will now move on to compete in the National Semi-Finals of the NTPC Electron Quiz 2025, to be held in Noida on 27-28 February 2025.
NTPC’s commitment to fostering intellectual talent and engaging the youth in critical thinking and innovation was evident in the regional round of Electron Quiz held at Ranchi. Participants expressed their appreciation for the event, thanking the host NTPC Mining Limited and renowned quiz master K M Prashant , GM (Corporate Communication ), NTPC for conducting the quiz in exciting and seamless manner and providing an excellent platform to test participants skills and knowledge.
