Nitish and Union Health Minister J P Nadda jointly inaugurated the regional Eye centre, claimed to be the biggest in India. He said the Rs 85O crore health welfare projects have been launched today.
Nadda, during his two days stay in Bihar, would open new hospitals at Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and Patna. The BJP President is born and brought up at Patna.
At Bhagalpur, he inaugurated a multi super specialty hospital.
The former Union Minister of state for Health, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, who had laid the foundation stone of the hospital, was not invited at the function. He wrote a letter to CM regretting omission of his name in the list of invitees.
