For the second time within a week, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar found his ministers and senior civil servants absent from the Secretariat.
Nitish on Tuesday visited different departments in Vikas Bhawan and Visheshwaria Bhawan. During his surprise visit, he entered the chambers of Ministers, additional Chief Secretaries and found them absent.
From the chamber of the education minister, Chandrashekhar, he telephoned to the Minister, “I am in your chamber, where are you.” Minister assured he would reach soon.
He found the Industries Minister, Samir Kumar Mahaseth, Co_operative Minister Surendra Yadav, Sugarcane Minister, Alok Mehta, Transport Minister Sheela Mandal, Agriculture Minister Kumar Sarvajit, PWD Minister Ashok Chaudhury also missing.
Some of his favourite civil servants, including ACS of health, road construction, transport and education were also not present in their chambers. Later in the evening, he warned the erring ministers and officers and asked them to be punctual in their office hours.
On Friday too, the Chief Minister had found Ministers and officers absent during a surprise visit to the State Secretariat.
