Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was disappointed by the Odisha Chief Minister, Navin Patnaik at Bhubaneswar on Tuesday appeared delighted after two hours of talks with the Jharkhand Chief Minister, Hemant Soren on Wednesday.
Nitish Kumar will visit Mumbai tomorrow to meet two former Chief Ministers, Sharad Pawar and Udhav Thackeray in course of his unite opposition and oust BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Hemant Soren described Nitish as his guardian and said he has to learn a lot from Bihar CM. Nitish reciprocated the feelings of his Jharkhand counterpart by saying: “I have old relations with JMM and its founder Shibu Soren. When I became CM for the first time in 2005, JMM legislators had supported me.”
Today’s meeting was claimed to be a success in contrast to Bhubaneswar meeting between two chief ministers. Nitish said he was engaged in talks with opposition leaders in different parts of the country. Without naming Navin Patnaik, he said he has received positive response from majority of the opposition leaders. By giving a united fight in 2024, BJP would be out of power.
He alleged there was no freedom of Press in the country, history of freedom movement is being rewritten by those who did not support the freedom struggle.
Hemant hoped there would be a united front against BJP soon .Leaders would meet again for detailed discussions and modalities of united fight against the BJP.
At Bhubaneswar, Navin Patnaik had categorically denied Nitish claim and said alliance was not discussed. The National President of JDU, Lallan Singh and Public Relations minister Sanjay Kumar Jha,
Who accompanied Nitish were sidelined by Navin who told them to sit on the sofa as nd not on the chairs with the two Chief Ministers. Even during lunch, they were kept away from the dining table in Navin Niwas.
