Nitish to head NDA government again, promoter of INDIA to desert

JDU national president Nitish Kumar who had promoted INDIA against NDA is all set to rejoin BJP led alliance and and take oath as chief minister of Bihar  for fourth time on January 28_ since February 2005.

Nitish had deserted NDA in August,2022 and joined Grand Alliance to lead the government in partnership with RJD ,Congress and Left parties.

Rift between the chief minister and his deputy, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav,became public on the Republic Day when neither of them talked through out the 90 minutes long ceremony. Administration for the first time  made sitting  arrangements at a distance

Again at the High Tea organised at Raj Bhawan, deputy CM did not turn up.PWD minister, Ashok Chaudhury pulled down the sticker carrying the name of Tejashwi on the chair next to CM and occupied it. For the first time after two years, Nitish was seen talking to the leader of opposition, Vijay Kumar Sinha in good humour.

BJP has summoned all legislators here on Saturday afternoon to ensure smooth election of Nitish as NDA legislature party leader.Lalu Prasad has also called a meeting of legislators on Saturday noon.Congress with 19 MLAs has asked it’s leaders to reach Purnia tomorrow to welcome Rahul Gandhi. 

Nitish had changed alliances in 2013,2017 and 2022 earlier.

Latest provocation of differences between Nitish and Lalu started following Nitish Kumar making attack on Lalu family for promoting family in politics and claiming he did not encourage Pariwar wad.

 To neutralise the effect of caste survey and it’s influence on EBC voters,BJP announced highest civilian award to the former chief minister,Karpoori Thakur who came from an EBC family of barbers.

Nitish was feeling uncomfortable for the first time for the last couple of months in company with Lalu as he faced pressure on functioning in the government,particularly in the education department.He was pained to learn that Lalu was trying to engineer split JDU legislature party.

On Thursday, Rohini Acharya, one of the seven daughters of Lalu had commented on X indirectly attacking Nitish for his attack on Lalu family and called Nitish a fake Socialist.
