BJP on Monday demanded apology from the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over his reported comments on family control made before the Jeevika Didis, grass root level women workers of Child and Women development department at Harsel village in Gaural block of Vaishali district, 50 km from here during his Samadhan Yatra on Sunday.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi in a statement today claimed that the Chief Minister made the statement which crossed the line of decency and etiquette. It hurt the women too, he said.
Sushil Modi said the Foot in Mouth syndrome of Nitish Kumar was again made public when the Chief Minister said in presence of the women, “Men have habit of making physical relations with women daily (Mard log Roj Roj karte hain) and women become pregnant.” If the women are educated, they will learn family control techniques and help preventing family growth.
Sushil Modi alleged the “promiscuous” comments of the Chief Minister was in bad taste and aimed at humiliating both women and men. It is a street type language, former deputy of Chief Minister regretted.
Sushil Modi recalled in his speeches in the public in last few weeks, Nitish had been recalling his students’ days and regretting there were no girl in his Engineering College and when any woman or girl entered the college premises “even teachers used to leave their classes to have glimpse of the females”.
Samrat Chaudhury, leader of opposition in Bihar Vidhan Parishad while seeking an apology from the Chief Minister, said “sexiest comments ” of Nitish Kumar has hurt the women too who were being trained in propagating family control measures. Since he has joined hands with RJD, Nitish Kumar is using the language used by RJD leaders. He called CM comments on family control and condemning men as “indecent, abusive and uncivilized”.
