State-run National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) Limited has increased the price of iron ore by Rs 300 per tonne that will come into effect from today.
The prices of lump ore (65.5%, 6-40mm) have been increased by Rs 300 to Rs 4950 per tonne compared with Rs 4650 per tonne fixed on August 15, 2023. Similarly, the prices of iron ore fines (64%, -10 mm) have been raised by Rs 300 to Rs 4210 per tonne from Rs 3910 per tonne.
The revised prices will come into effect from September 14, 2023, the NMDC Limited said in a regulatory filing today. The above FOR prices are inclusive of Royalty, DMF, NMET and exclusive of Cess, Forest Permit Fee, Transit Fee, GST, Environmental Cess and other taxes, the company said.
State-run National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) reported a surge of over 37 per cent in the production and 25 per cent in the sales of iron ore in the month of August 2023 compared to previous year’s corresponding period.
The cumulative production and sales of the miner in the first five months of the fiscal year also increased over 23 per cent and 29 per cent respectively compared to the same period of the last financial year.
