National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) will roll over August-September prices of iron ore to October 2022.
The country’s largest iron ore miner said it would maintain prices of lump ore at Rs 4,100 per tonne in October 2022, while price of iron ore fines also remains unchanged at Rs 2910 per tonne. The prices exclude royalty, District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET), cess, forest permit fee, and other taxes.
The revised prices would come into effect from October 8, 2022, the company said in a regulatory filing today.
The NMDC has last changed the price on August 11, 2022; increasing the price of lump ore from Rs 3,900 per tonne to Rs 4,100 per tonne and that of fines from Rs 2,810 to Rs 2,910 per tonne.
Company’s iron ore sales in the month of September 2022 stood at 2.91 million tonnes (MT), registering an increase of 6.59 per cent against 2.73 MT sold in the corresponding period of previous year.
On a sequential basis, NMDC’s iron ore production increased by 10.08 per cent in September 2022 over August 2022.
