National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has slashed the prices of iron ore by about 12.61 per cent after it remained unmoved in the last revision.
The country’s largest iron ore miner said it had fixed the prices of lump ore at Rs 5200 per tonne and that of iron ore fines at Rs 4560 per tonne. The prices exclude royalty, District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET), cess, forest permit fee, and other taxes.
The revised prices would come into effect from November 30, the company said in a regulatory filing today.
In the last revision that came into effect from November 4, NMDC rolled over October prices of iron ore and maintain prices of lump ore at Rs 5950 per tonne while price of iron ore fines also remained unchanged at Rs 4760 tonne.
The company has been curtailing the iron ore prices since last five months and has slashed the rates of steel making raw material by 30.2 per cent since July 2021.
