Raipur, December 28
National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has slashed the prices of iron ore by Rs 300 per tonne.
The country’s largest iron ore miner said it had fixed the prices of lump ore at Rs 4900 per tonne and that of iron ore fines at Rs 4060 per tonne. The prices exclude royalty, District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET), cess, forest permit fee, and other taxes.
The revised prices would come into effect from December 28, the company said in a regulatory filing today.
In the last revision that came into effect from November 30, NMDC retained the October prices of iron ore and maintain prices of lump ore at Rs 5200 per tonne while price of iron ore fines also remained unchanged at Rs 4560 tonne.
The company has been curtailing the iron ore prices since July 2021.
