The ministry of steel has bestowed additional charge of the post of Director (Finance) of NMDC Steel Ltd. to incumbent Director (Personnel) Smt. Priyadarshini Gaddam.

She is also Director (Personnel) at the NMDC Limited.

“With reference to the captioned subject, it is hereby informed that in terms of Ministry of Steel, Government of India Order No. S-14013/1/2024-BLA-Part (1) dated 07.07.2025 read with Order No. 4(3)/2022-NMDC dated 20.03.2023, the additional charge of the post of Director (Finance), NMDC Steel Limited is assigned to Smt. Priyadarshini Gaddam, Director (Personnel), NMDC Steel Ltd. for a further period of 6 months w.e.f. 06.06.2025 i.e., up to 05.12.2025 or till assumption of charge of the post by the regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest,” NMDC Steel Limited said in a regulatory filing.

An alumna of Osmania University, Hyderabad, she holds a postgraduate degree in Social Work (Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) along with an LLB. Joining NMDC as an Executive Trainee in 1992, she steadily rose through the company’s ranks and has emerged as a leader, paving the way for more women in leadership roles in the mining industry. In her over three-decade long service, Smt. Priyadarshini has played a defining role in shaping an ecosystem that ensures a safe workplace for women and provides equal opportunities for persons with benchmark disabilities while setting the highest standards of employee welfare at NMDC.

She has streamlined processes and procedures in Industrial Relations, Recruitment, Medical Policies and Stakeholder Management within the company. She represented NMDC in the Second Pay Revision Commission with respect to the Pay Revision of CPSEs and has since achieved milestone outcomes in negotiating wage settlements.

Smt. Priyadarshini’s leadership came to the forefront at NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) where she steered the R&R Policy, advocated for skill development initiatives for the community and swiftly established the Fire Department, Occupational Health Centre, and Primary Health Centre at NSL, all of which contributed to the overall well-being and safety of the workforce.
