The on-going strike at the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) came to an end as the unions decided to withdraw the protest.

On the unions’ call, the employees had gone on strike from March 6, 2025. The agitation had severely affected the production in the country’s largest iron ore producer.

The NMDC said in a statement that the Federation of the unions asked their members to resume duties fully from the first shift of March 20, 2025 onwards and extend their support and commitment to give best results. The employees have resumed duties and normal operations have resumed at all the Projects.

NMDC Management acknowledges the importance of its workforce that has been its backbone and this decision to resume work will strengthen the relation and trust, the statement said, adding that resumption of operations at this crucial junction will certainly help NMDC to accelerate and meet its production targets.
