NMDC Limited continued to record growth in its production as company’s output increased by about 5 per cent in December 2024 compared to corresponding period of 2023.
The company produced 4.71 million tonne (MT) iron ore last month that is 5.13 per cent higher than 4.48 MT produced in the month of December 2023. However, the sales of country’s largest iron ore producer have declined in December 2024, NMDC Limited said in a regulatory filing today.
NMDC sold 3.91 MT iron ore in December 2024 that is 5.5 per cent less compared to sales recorded in the corresponding month of 2023.
In the month of November 2024, company has registered a growth of about 18 per cent in the production of iron ore compared to corresponding period of 2023. The company produced 4.51 million tonne (MT) iron ore in November 2024 that is 17.75 per cent higher than 3.83 MT produced in the month of November 2023. Similarly, NMDC’s sales also surged in November 2024 by over 5 per cent.
The company demonstrated its operational excellence by registering its best-ever October performance since inception. The company’s impressive production of 4.07 million tonnes (MT) and sales of 4.03 MT of iron ore surpassed previous October records, marking a 3.8 per cent increase in production and 17.15 per cent growth in sales compared to the corresponding period last year.
