Raigarh, October 23
An agreement was signed between the district administration of Sakti in Chhattisgarh and NTPC Lara on Tuesday for community development works.
The agreement was signed by Amrit VikasTopno, IAS, District Collector (Sakti) and Anil Kumar, Executive Director (NTPC Lara) in the presence of Jakir Khan, AGM (HR) and other officials of district administration. The District Collector of Sakti appreciated NTPC Lara’s initiative for community development in Sakti district.
Under the agreement, NTPC Lara will provide financial assistance of Rs 508.30 lakh for development of IOT Based Water Maintenance System under (Jal Jivan Mission) in Rural Development, Sanitation Sector and for installation of Stainless-Steel Water tank, RO based water treatment system and setting-up of running water pipeline infrastructure in Primary Health Centres of Sakti district. The works will be executed within the span of 03 years.
It is to mention that NTPC Lara is a developing power station of Chhattisgarh, having generating capacity of 1600 megawatt. The station is working for installation of another two units of 1600 megawatt capacity. This station plays a vital role for the development of Chhattisgarh. Lion’s share of 50 percent generated electricity is being provided to Chhattisgarh and the rest is supplied to western Indian states.
