NTPC- Lara signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the district administration of Raigarh for providing the financial support for the Construction of Nalanda Library cum Cafeteria and Suspension Bridge (Nalanda Library Campus) at Raigarh.
The project will take shape with an investment of Rs 42.56 crore. The agreement was inked in presence of Chhattisgarh’s Finance Minister O P Choudhary, the bureaucrat-turned-politician and the brain behind the Nalanda Library projects in the state.
The magnificent Nalanda Parisar with hi-tech facilities in the state capital was built during Choudhary’s tenure at Raipur Collector. He has been dedicatedly working in the field of quality education.
The Raipur Collector, Jitendra Yadav, Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel, Municipal Commissioner Sunil Kumar Chandrawanshi, NTPC Executive Director and Head of Lara Project Anil Kumar and HoHR Jakir Khan along with other officials of NTPC- Lara and district administration were present on the occasion.
This big-ticket program under the community development (CD) initiative of NTPC, by dedicating Raigarh District a library of international Standard, shall benefit over 50,000 youths within Raigarh District.
Chhattisgarh Finance Minister in his speech acknowledged the contribution of NTPC- Lara for the overall development of Raigarh and has underscored that the Library will contribute towards development of knowledge based society.
