NTPC Naya Raipur celebrates 75th Republic Day with patriotic zeal

NTPC Naya Raipur celebrated 75th Republic Day with patriotic fervor on January 26, 2024.

At a programme held at its office premises, Chief Guest C Sivakumar, Regional Executive Director (WR-II, USSC & Ash NI), NTPC unfurled the tricolour.

Addressing the gathering, C Sivakumar spoke on the significance of Republic Day and NTPC’s contribution in development of the country. He also highlighted NTPC’s recent achievement and the opportunities and challenges ahead. He also spoke on NTPC’ efforts in environment-friendly power generation as well as reliable and sustainable power supply.

He also appreciated Western Region-II stations for their outstanding achievements in plant performance, project execution, new initiatives and receiving awards and recognitions. Western Region is strategically placed with both Running stations and Upcoming expansion both at Lara and Sipat, he added.

C Sivakumar also threw light on NTPC Nava Raipur office’s achievement in the areas of HR, USSC, Ash New Initiative, Safety, Operation Services, Commercial, Station Engineering, CSR and other departments.
The occasion also marked with distribution of Meritorious Awards among employees for their excellent performance. Prizes also distributed among the winners of different events conducted during Swachhata Pakhwada earlier.

On this occasion, as part of CSR activity in association with Arpita Mahila Samiti, an Automatic Chapati Making Machine was handed over to Koapal vani Shravan Badhit Aavasiya Vidyalaya, Raipur. Befitting the occasion, the children from Nanhe Kadam performed patriotic cultural programme. Nanhe Kadam is an initiative by Ladies Club for under privileged girls of the nearby villages.

Smt C Padmaja, President and office bearers of Arpita Mahila Samiti were present on the occasion. Shri Arindam Sinha, ED-OS; Shri U H Gokhe, ED, CPG-I; Shri Ashish Kundu, ED (USSC-C&M, CPG-I); CGMs, GMs, Officials and their family members were present on the occasion.
