NTPC Northern Region extends support to children undergoing cancer treatment

As part of its CSR initiative, NTPC Northern Region Headquarters (NRHQ), in collaboration with the Uttara Club, distributed recreational items to the Department of Paediatric Oncology at Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow.

The items included Smart TVs, indoor games such as Chess, Ludo, and puzzles, along with activity books, drawing kits, and clay sets for 20 children receiving cancer treatment.

This noble initiative aims to engage children in recreational activities to help reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, and support the overall well-being, also providing care and comfort to children undergoing cancer treatment, offering them a chance to smile amidst their battle.

During the event, Smt. Vijaya Rao, President of Uttara Club, interacted with the institute’s doctors and Director, Prof. MLB Bhatt. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to support the children and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to continuing such initiatives in the future.

The event was graced by senior members of the Uttara Club, including Smt. Neelkamal and Smt. Sangita Singha Ray, along with the club’s Secretary and committee members.

Representatives from NTPC, including the CSR In-charge, employees, and the hospital’s medical officers, were also present, demonstrating their solidarity with the cause.
