As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavours, NTPC-Northern Region HQ’s Uttra Club organized a special programme at Sparsh Raajkiya Drishtibadhit Balika Inter College, Lucknow, aimed at empowering visually challenged students and promoting  hygiene and sanitation among girls.

Led by Smt. Bipasa Deb, President of Uttra Club, NTPC donated two sanitary vending and disposal machines along with a water purifier to the school. Personal care kits were also distributed to 100 visually challenged adolescent students. While interacting with the students and school authorities, Smt Deb encouraged them to excel in life through education, discipline, and self-confidence.

The students showcase their talent through cultural performances, including singing and poetry recitals, which added warmth and joy to the event.

The programme was graced by distinguished guests including Sh. Shashank Singh, District Officer, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Lucknow; Smt. Sangita Singha Ray, Vice President; senior members of Uttra Club; and NTPC HR officials.

The initiative reflects Uttra Club’s commitment to promoting hygiene and sanitation for girls, while reaffirming NTPC’s dedication to the empowerment, inclusion, and well-being of persons with disabilities.
